Una commedia romantica che fa tornare al 1995 e che conferma come il fil rouge tra vino e cinema sia inevitabile con decine e decine di pellicole dove l’amato nettare di Bacco diventa un coprotagonista nella trama del film: French Kiss, film diretto da Lawrence Kasdan con Meg Ryan e Kevin Kline. La protagonista Kate vince la paura di volare e va in Francia per riconquistare il fidanzato. Sull’aereo incontra il francese Luc Teyssier, ladro gentiluomo disposto a tutto per far rivivere una vecchia vigna abbandonata nei pressi della sua città natale. Negli orizzonti del film c’è la Provenza e le sue vigne e le intricate vicende, gli incontri e i raggiri, gli amori che sfumano e rinascono, portano al legame finale tra Kate e Luc e alla decisione di rimanere, innamorati, in Provenza. Molto suggestiva la sequenza che si svolge nella tenuta di famiglia di Luc, che mostra a Kate la sua vecchia camera e una scatola molto preziosa, contenente un set di essenze: la lavanda, il cassis, il ribes, le stesse che si ritrovano nel vino. Da rispolverare per i veri romantic wine lovers!

The sequence that takes place on Luc’s family estate is very suggestive, showing Kate her old room and a very precious box, containing a set of essences: lavender, cassis, currants, the same that are found in wine.
